Hütter is Bundesliga coach of the season

Great honour for Austria’s coach Adi Hütter. The Vorarlberg player, who has been the coach of Eintracht Frankfurt for a year now, was elected coach of the season by the players of the German Bundesliga.

The Association of German Professional Footballers voted Hütter first with an impressive 41.8 percent. Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt was second with 15 percent of all votes and thus far behind the Frankfurt boss. Third place went to the Bundesliga kicker Düsseldorf coach Friedhelm Funkel.

Hütter’s season balance for the Frankfurt team speaks for itself: not only that the former Salzburg coach sparked a European Cup euphoria among the Rheinhessen fans and was extremely popular with the team, but also the sporting successes underline the qualities of the 49-year-old coach. In 50 games as Frankfurt coach, Hütter scored an average of 1.68 points and led Eintracht to the semi-finals of the Europa League. Also in the league a European Cup place stood with rank seven in the final account. Hutter’s contract runs until 2021.
