Hertha BSC has signed the Dutch offensive talent Daishawn Redan. This was announced by the club from the German capital on Thursday on its club homepage. The Berliners did not provide any information on the duration of the contract.

According to information from the kicker, the Redan fee will be around 2.5 million euros. The striker will be used in the U23 of Hertha for the time being, but will also train with the pros.

Manager Michael Preetz was pleased about the commitment of the talent. “Daishawn is fast, runs well and fits perfectly into our requirement profile. He has great development potential, and we are safeguarding all future opportunities on the transfer market in view of his age,” said the 51-year-old.

Redan was also happy about his engagement with the old lady. The attacker told Hertha’s club media: “I am glad that the change to Hertha BSC worked out. I can hardly wait for it to finally start here and I can stand on the square.”

Redan moved from Ajax Amsterdam youth to Chelsea FC U18 in 2017. Most recently, the Dutch U19 international played for the Blues U23 in Premier League 2. In the past season, Redan scored 13 goals and three submissions in 33 competitive matches.
