Haaland apparently on the way to Manchester

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are competing for Erling Haaland (19) – but they are not the only ones. Now Manchester United seem to be getting serious.

Last week the English media reported that Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had met Haaland, his Norwegian compatriot, in Salzburg.

Now the local newspaper ‘Stavanger Aftenblad’ reports that Haaland and his father boarded a Norwegian plane from Stavanger to Manchester for further talks.

Solskjaer had brought Haaland from Byrne to Molde at the beginning of 2017 and shortly afterwards made his professional debut as a 16-year-old. In the summer of 2018 the storm talent moved on to Salzburg.

And Solskjaer is not the only name that speaks for a future in Manchester: Haaland’s advisor is Jim Solbakken, who has already concluded several deals with Solskjaer. And Haaland’s father Alf-Inge once played for Manchester City.

Haaland “knows what he wants to do and knows what he will do,” Solskjaer had recently said.
