Because his right-back Benjamin Pavard is out for the time being with an ankle injury, Bavarian coach Hansi Flick has a problem: Alvaro Odriozola, the loan from Real Madrid, only convinced as the title hamster, athletically not; and Kimmich could reliably move back to the right as usual, but would then be missing as an almost indispensable tactic and rhythm generator in the defensive midfield.
