Eintracht Frankfurt has found a successor for its top scorer Luka Jovic, who has migrated to Real Madrid: As the Hessians announced on Friday evening, Serbian U21 international Dejan Joveljic will move from Red Star Belgrade to the Main, where the 19-year-old attacker will receive a contract until 30 June 2024.
“Dejan is a very good middle forward, but he also has a certain variability and can come over the wings. Of course, he’s still young and will have to learn. But we are very optimistic that it will be easy for him to settle in here in Frankfurt,” said Eintracht Sports Director Fredi Bobic.
Last season, Joveljic scored eight goals for the Serbian champions in 17 games and scored two goals.
On Sunday, the European Championship in Italy will begin for him with the U21 selection, where the Serbs will also meet Germany on Thursday (9 p.m.).
The other opponents of the Serbs are Austria (Monday, 18.30 h) and Denmark (23 June, 21.00 h).
