Bundesliga: Fix! Bayer 04 fishes its way to Ajax wishing player

In Daley Sinkgraven, Bayer Leverkusen has signed the dream player of its coach Peter Bosz. The 23-year-old defensive player moves from Dutch double winner Ajax Amsterdam to German Champions-League participant.

Sinkgraven, who was given shirt number 22 by Werkself, signed a contract in Leverkusen that expires on June 30, 2023. According to the Dutch media, the compensation for Sinkgraven will be almost five million euros.

“Daley Sinkgraven is a technically very skilled player. With his playing intelligence and footballing quality, he fits perfectly into our squad,” commented Bayer Sports Director Simon Rolfes on the transfer: “In addition, Daley already knows the playing approach of our coach Peter Bosz, both have worked together successfully during their time together at Ajax.

The former U21 national player, for his part, regards the change as “an exciting and motivating opportunity to play for a top German club after my time with Ajax. Leverkusen has been one of the best clubs in the Bundesliga for many years. I’m looking forward to this league and of course the challenge of the Champions League.”

Previously, the Werkself had already presented offensive player Moussa Diaby from France’s champions Paris Saint-Germain and national player Kerem Demirbay from TSG Hoffenheim as newcomers.
