FC Bayern keen on Arsenal talent?

Published on

FC Bayern Munich seems to be still looking for a central midfielder and, according to Sky Sports News, has an eye on youngster Joe Willock from FC Arsenal.

The 19-year-old is cited as a possible alternative to Espanyol’s Marc Roca if the German record holders cannot agree on a transfer fee with the Barcelona club.

While Espanyol are insisting on the withdrawal clause of 40 million euros, FC Bayern seem unwilling to pay such a large sum for the Spanish U21 European champion.

Willock, whose contract with the Gunners runs until 2021, could be a cheaper option. The midfielder completed the complete preparation with the professionals and was also used in the test against Barcelona over 70 minutes.

Last season, Willock played mainly for Arsenal’s U23 in Premier League 2, scoring twelve goals in six games. He made his professional debut in September 2017 in the EFL Cup.
