The FC Bayern Munich is apparently demanding money from the Munich car manufacturer after the broken sponsorship deal with BMW. This is reported by tz.
Accordingly, a preliminary agreement had already been signed in which the framework conditions had been laid down. It is said to have involved a sum of up to 800 million euros. At the same time, BMW would have taken over the shares from its former automotive partner Audi (8.33 percent).
FC Bayern cancelled their partnership with BMW “due to a lack of confidence”. Subsequently, the club agreed with Audi on a further cooperation, which, however, would bring in less money than the cooperation with BMW would have brought in. FC Bayern is now apparently demanding some of this difference.
