Bundesliga: Ex-BVB-Star with role in ZDF cult series

A World Champion on the High Seas: Former goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller is given a guest role in the ZDF cult series “The Dream Ship”.

“This is a great honour for me”, the picture quotes the former captain of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

The 38-year-old was apparently a dream cast of the new dream ship captain Florian Silbereisen. “I really wanted Roman to go on board with me,” said Silbereisen. “I couldn’t wish for a better lucky charm for my start as captain than an experienced and successful football captain like Roman.” The episode with Weidenfeller is to be broadcast at Christmas.
