Kevin-Prince Boateng will apparently not return to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. As the Bild-Zeitung and Sky Sports Italia unanimously report, Boateng prefers a switch within Series A.

According to both media, the last talks between Giovanni Carnevali, sports director of Boateng club Sassuolo, and Daniele Prade, manager of AC Florence, took place on Monday evening to fix a loan from Boateng to Fiorentina.

The picture had previously reported that Frankfurter Eintracht was interested in the 30-year-old’s return. “I always have to smile. We have three personal details a day that are chased through Frankfurt,” said Frankfurt’s sports director Fredi Bobic to the radio station hr1, referring to the rumours of a Boateng return.

The 15-time Ghanaian international had been a member of the Hessen team in the 2017/18 season and had convinced as a leader in the midfield. After the sensational victory in the final of the DFB Cup against FC Bayern (3:1) Boateng broke his tents in the Main metropolis and went to Sassuolo.

“An important reason was that Niko left. It’s no secret that I’m in agreement primarily because of him,” Boateng explained at the time, saying his farewell to the Bundesliga once again. Above all, he wanted to leave Germany “finally for good and positive reasons”: “At last I wasn’t chased away.”

After only a half-series in Serie A, in which Boateng scored four goals in 13 games, he transferred to FC Barcelona on loan for half a year. For him it was “a great dream” come true, he said during his change to the Catalans. The dream “Barcelona” ended for Boateng after only four competitive games.
