Does Henrichs return to the Bundesliga?

Werder Bremen is allegedly interested in the engagement of German defender Benjamin Henrichs of AS Monaco. This is what the Deichstube portal reports. According to the study, the people of Bremen have been dealing with the 22-year-old for several weeks now.

At Monaco, Henrichs is still under contract until 2023. Since the Monegasque demand for a redemption of around 35 million euros would be difficult to meet for the SVW, sports director Frank Baumann apparently wants to put his money on a loan deal. Thus the right foot is to come to the Weser for two years.

In the Zillertal training camp, coach Florian Kohfeldt recently confirmed to the media that the SVW is looking for an outside defender who can be used both left and right, but did not want to give any concrete names. Allrounder Henrichs would, however, fulfil this requirement profile.

Recently FC Bayern Munich had also been associated with Henrichs. According to information from SOCCERSCORE and Goal, however, there have been no talks between the German record champion and the U21 vice European champion.

Only last year Henrichs moved from Bayer Leverkusen to AS Monaco for around 20 million euros. In the Principality Henrichs is one of the string candidates after a difficult season. In the past season, the defensive man had only 22 league appearances and fought with Monaco for a long time against relegation.

Recently Henrichs stayed with the German U21 at the European Championship in Italy. There, the defender failed with the DFB juniors in the final against Spain and was then elected to the team of the UEFA tournament.
