Delaney warns against Derby: “Won’t 9-2”

Thomas Delaney warned against the district derby (Sat., 15.30 o’clock in the LIVETICKER) of Schalke 04. While BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke gave a small side blow to FC Bayern, Kevin Großkreutz fumbled against the supporters of S04.

Here are the most important news and rumors of the day around Borussia Dortmund.

Thomas warned against the district derby of Schalke 04 and does not want to take the current table situation as a yardstick. “This game has its own life. It doesn’t mean anything where we are in the table,” said the Dane.

Delaney expects “perhaps not the best game” and does not see the two teams as far apart as the last results in the Bundesliga (BVB won 4:0 in Freiburg, Schalke lost 2:5 against Hoffenheim) would suggest. “It won’t be 9-2. It’ll be hard,” said the 27-year-old.

Hans-Joachim Watzke has verbally handed out in the championship match against FC Bayern Munich. “70% of Germans feel they are keeping their fingers crossed for Dortmund,” Watzke said during a pub talk with CDU politician Tilman Kuban in Barsinghausen on the club grounds of TSV Kirchdorf.

Watzke pointed out that winning the championship title has a completely different significance for Borussia: “When the championship celebration takes place on Marienplatz, 3000 people come plus 1500 tourists. For us, the title would be a completely different number.”

Kevin Großkreutz has distributed through the social media against the supporters of Schalke 04. The former BVB player was angry with his royal blue neighbours in front of the derby at Instagram.

“Men, shut your mouth on Saturday. I can’t hear that big mouth on the Internet anymore. Everywhere I am marked and insulted by the monkeys. Just make it go away,” the world champion wrote under a post.
