Borussia Dortmunds Dario Scuderi decided at the age of 21 to end his career. Patrick Schick could be the striker you’re looking for, while former coach Jürgen Klopp and FC Liverpool are said to want Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Here you can find all news and rumours about the BVB.

Borussia Dortmund’s Dario Scuderi has decided to end his career about three years after his serious injury. “It wasn’t an easy decision. Playing football has always been my big dream and I gave everything I had for it,” the BVB talent told the kicker.

Scuderi, whose Dortmund contract had not been extended beyond 30 June, had other offers, but decided against continuing his career: “In football, you never know what’s going to happen and that’s why I decided on the safe option.

In September 2016, Scuderi broke both cruciate ligaments and the outer ligament in the Youth League against Legia Warsaw. The meniscus was also affected. In August 2018 he was back in the squad for the first time, but now decided against trying a professional career.

“BVB has always stood by me and offered me training last year. I am now looking forward to doing something new,” Scuderi concluded.

Borussia Dortmund apparently has a concrete interest in Patrick Schick from AS Rome. The 23-year-old is currently to be observed. However, BVB will probably not aim for a fixed transfer, but could borrow Schick. The problem: The contractual situation between Rome and the ex-club Sampdoria Genoa is not quite clear.

Schick moved to Rome in the summer of 2018. By February 2020, Genoa would receive about 50 percent of the redemption price of a resale of the striker. Borussia Dortmund still has to find out to what extent a loan transaction fits into this contractual situation. Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyon should be interested in a purchase.

However, Schicks Agent has a good relationship with BVB: he also represented Thomas Rosicky and Jan Koller, among others. His current client is regarded as a playfully strong striker. For the Roma, he recently scored five goals and three templates in 32 games – he could not preserve his good form from Genoa in the capital.

FC Liverpool and ex-BVB coach Jürgen Klopp apparently have their eye on Jacob Bruun Larsen. The picture shows the Reds’ interest in the winger Borussia Dortmunds. So far, the 20-year-old has not actually been considered a candidate for a transfer.

But the commitments of Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard have brought new competition to Bruun Larsen. The talent is currently expected to refuse to extend his contract until 2021 and will probably want to observe how things continue under coach Lucien Favre.

Klopp is said to have greatly appreciated the talent and already intensively pursued it during his own tenure in Dortmund. However, when Bruun Larsen officially joined the professionals in 2017, Klopp was active on the island. Under the German coach, the wing forward has not yet played.
