BVB probably blitzed off Chelsea striker

Daishawn Redan was probably on the paper at Borussia Dortmund, but the Dutchman in the service of Chelsea FC chose Hertha BSC. Lucien Favre wants to thin out the squad, while the night is on for a crackdown against FC Liverpool.

Here you can find all news and rumours about the BVB.

The Borussians are still searching for a middle forward, but had to cope with a rejection. According to the picture, the BVB was on Chelsea-Youngster Daishawn Redan, but he preferred Hertha BSC. The old lady transferred 2.7 million euros to Chelsea.

“We’ve convinced him of Hertha and our plans. Hopefully we will have a lot of fun with him in the future,” Hertha trainer Ante Covic said about the commitment. The decisive factor for Hertha is said to have been its reputation as a training club, and Redan’s junior team-mate, Javairo Dilrosun, also worked with the teenager.

Redan comes from the offspring of Ajax and moved to Chelsea in London two years ago, where he was used exclusively in youth and reserve.

A centre forward is supposed to come, but at the same time the Dortmund squad continues to be bloated. With the young players, coach Lucien Favre currently has 30 field players and four goalkeepers at his disposal.

Too much for the Swiss taste. “30 players are impossible,” he explained, demanding a reduction of the squad to “22, 23 field players maximum. In all probability, five or six players will have to leave the club. Obvious candidates are Andre Schürrle, Maxi Philipp, Raphael Guerreiro or Shinji Kagawa.

Meanwhile the preparation of the black-yellows continues at full speed, in the night on Saturday it comes to the first endurance test. At 2am German time, the Borussians will face champions League winners FC Liverpool (live on DAZN) at Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana.

Klopp showed a lot of respect for the Dortmund team and called the team “strong as a board”. Against Seattle, some international players and newcomers played only half an hour, against the Reds it should be a half time already.
