Bruno Labbadia flirting with job abroad

Coach Bruno Labbadia flirts with a first engagement abroad after the end of his successful time at VfL Wolfsburg. Despite the unusual departure after a successful season Labbadia takes a lot of positive from Wolfsburg with them

“I’m not just looking abroad, but it’s more than ever an issue,” the 53-year-old told the Wolfsburger Nachrichten: “I’m a child of the Bundesliga, but abroad has become more and more appealing to me, where you can assert yourself anew.

It is now possible, however, that he will not be able to find a job this summer. Labbadia had taken up the post in Wolfsburg in February 2018 and saved the club from relegation. Last season he led the team into the Europa League, but did not extend his contract, which expired this summer, of his own free will.

Despite the unusual departure after a successful season, Labbadia takes a lot of positive from Wolfsburg. There have been moments in his career when “one doubts the whole business”, he said: “But the time in Wolfsburg has given me a lot, I’m really in the mood for a new job again and I’m sure I’ve become a better coach again”.
