Borussia Dortmund can apparently be pleased about a promise by Julian Brandt of Bayer Leverkusen. Mateu Morey from FC Barcelona will also come to BVB. The transfers from Nico Schulz and Thorgan Hazard are also approaching.
Borussia Dortmund can apparently be pleased about Julian Brandt’s commitment. As the picture reports, the offensive player from Bayer Leverkusen has decided to switch to BVB. Questions from Juventus, PSG, Tottenham and Atletico are said to have been rejected by Brandt.
Recently there is said to have been a meeting between Brandt’s father Jürgen and BVB sports director Michael Zorc. The player is probably aiming for a change, although Leverkusen secured his qualification for the Champions League.
Accordingly, the way would be clear to Dortmund. The exit clause probably amounts to around 25 million euros. The kicker reports 28 million euros. Either way, the transfer fee for the 23-year-old international is comparatively low. Leverkusen’s Rudi Völler recently spoke of recognizing a “fifty-fifty” chance at Brandt.
Borussia Dortmund has apparently secured the services of Mateu Morey of FC Barcelona. This was reported by the Catalan radio station Cadena SER. The 19-year-old is exempt from replacement in the summer after his contract has not been extended beyond 30 June 2019.
Morey is known as a right-back with a lot of offensive drive. Already in the summer of 2017 he was traded at FC Bayern Munich, but decided to stay in Barcelona. There he could not advertise for a new contract in the last two seasons due to some injuries.
The U17 European Champion could be an anticipation for the BVB of the imminent departure of Achraf Hakimi. The loan from Real Madrid will return to the Royal Madrid in the summer of 2020 – then Morey could prepare a year for his tasks.
Borussia Dortmund could announce the transfers of Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Nico Schulz (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim) according to a report in the Bild this week. For both players, the negotiations are expected to be concluded shortly.
Hazard and Schulz would both cost about 30 million euros. The Belgian could replace Christian Pulisic, who has migrated to Chelsea FC, as a variable player in the offensive, while Schulz is likely to be on the left defensive side in particular.
Meanwhile, the kicker raises the question of how things should continue behind Schulz: Marcel Schmelzer could therefore leave the club. This would make it more likely that Raphael Guerreiro, who is allegedly courted by PSG, would remain in the country. Jeremy Toljan could also get a second chance after his loan to FC Celtic.
