Bosz firmly expects departures from Havertz and Volland

The poker around Kai Havertz has kept the football world breathing in recent months. FC Bayern, BVB and numerous top international clubs are said to have dealt with Bayer Leverkusen’s midfield jewel. Now Havertz seems to be moving into the English Premier League.

Bayer coach Peter Bosz firmly expects the departures of Kai Havertz and Kevin Volland.

“I expect him not to come back,” Bosz said about Havertz, who is currently on the national team and is about to join Chelsea FC.

“But that’s just my expectation. It can always be that it doesn’t work out in the end in football. But you’ve been negotiating for so long, so as a coach, I assume there’s a greater chance he won’t come back.”
