In the final sprint of the Bundesliga season, BVB has only three games left to play. Here you can find out which opponents Borussia Dortmund will face in the final phase of the Bundesliga and when the matches will be played.
In the Champions League and in the DFB Cup the black-yellows have already failed. This means that only the remaining three Bundesliga matches await BVB this season. With only two points behind Bayern Munich, the leader of the table, one can still hope for the championship.
The bitter 2:4 bankruptcy in the derby against FC Schalke 04 has clouded the champions’ hopes of the BVB, but not completely extinguished. On the 32nd matchday Borussia will travel to Werder Bremen, one week later Fortuna Düsseldorf, against whom they had lost sensationally in the first half, will be received. Borussia Mönchengladbach will be the guest on the final 34th matchday.
After losing against Schalke, BVB coach Lucien Favre had already lost the championship in public. But since the Bavarians only managed a 1:1 victory at the 1st FC Nürnberg last Sunday, everything is still open. Currently two counters are missing. However, the Bavarians have a clearly better goal ratio, which is why the Borussians would have to make up three points in three games to celebrate again at Borsigplatz.
In July, coach Lucien Favre’s team will travel to the USA to play two test matches. The highlight will certainly be the duel with FC Liverpool. The meeting with former coach Jürgen Klopp will be the first football match to be played at the University of Notre Dame stadium in Indiana. More information about the USA trip of the Dortmunder can be found here.
Due to the time difference, both games will be played in Germany at night.
