Bundesliga: Bitter! Kabak is absent for several weeks

FC Schalke 04 has to do without Ozan Kabak for several weeks. The newcomer compares the royal blues with Galatasaray. Ralf Fährmann could go to England, while Markus Schubert is probably the new goalkeeper. Here’s all the news and rumors about S04.

FC Schalke 04 has just signed Ozan Kabak, and the new team is already out of the game. During training, the 19-year-old suffered a foot injury, so he will not be able to train with the team for the next few weeks.

When exactly Kabak returns is open. A check-up will follow.

In the SportBild, Kabak previously gave an interview in which he compared Schalke with the Turkish top club Galatasaray. “The passion of the Schalke fans and the atmosphere in the arena on Schalke remind me of the support of the Galatasaray fans,” he said.

Like Schalke, the former club of the central defender could be happy about the unconditional support: “The supporters of both teams always stand behind their team, no matter what happens”. This might also have been a reason for Kabak’s move to Gelsenkirchen.

“We have decided that Schalke has shown the best project to support me in achieving future goals,” Kabak classified, who is said to have cancelled FC Bayern, among others. Now he wants to “contribute to the success of Schalke” and “make the fans happy”.

FC Schalke could separate from Ralf Fährmann. This is reported by SportBild. Norwich City is brought into play as a possible buyer. The Premier League rising star would therefore like to borrow the 30-year-old, which would not mean a final separation for Schalke and Fährmann.

The goalkeeper still has a contract until 2022, which can probably even be extended by option until 2023. According to the latest water level reports, Schalke does not want to give up Fährmann, although he has lost his regular position to Alexander Nübel.

FC Schalke 04 apparently faces the engagement of Markus Schubert. The goalkeeper, without a contract since July 1, last played for Dynamo Dresden, but is expected in Gelsenkirchen today, according to Bild. There he should make his transfer to David Wagner’s team perfect.

Schubert is to sign for four years and earn around one million euros per year. Whether the 21-year-old will be awarded a prize or will hold his own in the Schalker squad is still unknown. Actually, Schubert left Dynamo to establish himself as a regular goalkeeper at a higher level.

On Schalke, the U-national player now saw a good chance to take the place between the posts of Alexander Nübel. This is associated with a change, also because its contract expires in 2020. FC Bayern is regarded as one of the possible buyers.
