On Sunday evening, RB Leipzig will make its fourth guest appearance in its still young club history with FC Bayern Munich. With a win, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team could regain the top spot from the industry leader who lost to Munich last weekend – and return to the road to success after three matches without a win (one draw, two defeats).
However, the Allianz Arena has so far not been a good place for the upstart from Saxony. In the three league duels so far, RB has not only lost three games, Leipzig has not scored a single goal in Munich. On 21 December 2016, the upstart coached by Ralph Hasenhüttl lost 3-0 to Bayern (goals: Thiago, Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski), in the 2017/18 season it was 2-0 on 28 October 2017 (goals: James and Lewandowski).
