Alaba comments on Barca’s interest: “An honor

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is flattered by the alleged interest shown by Spanish champions FC Barcelona.

“Of course it’s an appreciation, of course it’s an honour for me,” said the Austrian after the arrival of the German record champion in Kansas City. However, he himself had not had any conversations with Barca.

Instead, he wants to concentrate entirely on the upcoming tasks with the German record champion.

“I put the focus here in America and in the preparation completely and completely on Munich. I wanted to concentrate on the essentials. We’ve got a lot on our plate,” he said.

Alaba still has a contract in Munich until 2021. In principle, he could still imagine a change to another league in his career. “But I’m not a player who looks so far into the future,” said the Austrian.

At the end of the US tour, the Bavarians will meet AC Milan in Kansas City on Tuesday evening (3:00 a.m. LIVE on DAZN tonight). Afterwards it goes back to Munich.

“It’s been a very intense week. Now we are also a bit glad that we can go home again tomorrow”, Alaba said.
