The league mode in England’s second division provides for the promotion of three second division teams. The two first-placed teams are promoted directly to the first league, while the third-to-sixth-placed team first has to survive a qualifying round.
Both semi-finals of the Championships will take place tomorrow, Saturday afternoon. Leeds United (3rd place), West Bromwich Albion (4th place), Aston Villa (5th place) and Derby County (6th place) will fight for the promotion.
