The Bundesliga is entering its hot phase. 32 matchdays have already been played, two are still to be played. With FC Bayern and BVB, only two teams still have a chance of winning the championship. SOCCERSCORE presents the remaining program of both teams.
Due to the late draw against Werder Bremen and the recent 3:1 home win of the Bavarians against Hannover 96, Dortmund’s gap to the leader from Munich has grown to four points. The BVB will therefore have to score six points in the two remaining games against Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach, as the goal ratio of +52 to +34 clearly speaks for the FCB.
The reigning champions, on the other hand, will need only two points from two games to clear their seventh consecutive championship title. If the team of coach Niko Kovac could even win the match against Leipzig this coming weekend, they would not be able to be pushed out of the top of the table one matchday before the end.
With two more games to play, the Bavarians are currently four points ahead of the BVB.
The Bavarians will have to play at RB Leipzig next week before the last matchday at home against Frankfurt.
On the 33rd matchday the BVB receives the Fortuna from Düsseldorf. On the last matchday you are a guest in Mönchengladbach.
The FCB is in this year’s DFB Cup Final in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The opponent is – as on the 32nd matchday – RB Leipzig.
Borussia Dortmund is no longer represented in the DFB Cup. BVB lost their round of sixteen match against Werder Bremen with 5:7 after penalties.
In this year’s Champions League season, the Bavarians had to cancel the sails after a 3-1 defeat against FC Liverpool in the round of 16. The first leg ended 0:0.
Here, too, the round of 16 was over. A 3-0 draw in the first leg was followed by a 1-0 home defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
