Robert Zulj to stay with Union

Published on

In the past season, Robert Zulj has developed into a regular player at Union Berlin. The loaner from TSG Hoffenheim is now to be firmly engaged.

In Hoffenheim Zulj still has a contract until summer 2020, Union paid the Kraichgauer a fee of 200,000 euros to borrow Zulj for one season.

After the triumph in the relegation against the VfB Stuttgart, the iron team will want to sign another Austrian after Florian Flecker (new member of TSV Hartberg) and Christopher Trimmel (captain).

Managing Director Oliver Ruhnert signaled interest in a commitment that was “within our imagination”. Zulj will no longer play a role at TSG and is likely to change hands for around one million euros.

The 27-year-old offensive player scored four goals and seven assists in 32 competitive games last season.
