S04 apparently interested in Everton jewel

FC Schalke 04 is obviously interested in Jonjoe Kenny from FC Everton. The outside defender could switch to Gelsenkirchen as part of a loan transaction.

As the picture reports, sports director Jochen Schneider is already in advanced talks with the Toffees. The 22-year-old is to be loaned out and gain playing experience in the Bundesliga, which he did not recently get in the Premier League.

There Kenny only played nine out of 38 possible league appearances. According to the report, on Schalke he will compete with Daniel Caligiuri, whose contract expires in summer 2020.

The contractual situation of Caligiuri is supposed to trigger some thought games on Schalke: The royal blues probably want to extend with Caligiuri, but if this is not possible, there would probably be the possibility to tie Kenny by purchase option.

Besides Schalke, Crystal Palace and FC Burnley are currently also interested in Kenny. Kenny still has a contract with Everton until 2022, has been with the club since 2006 and is a member of the English U21 squad.
