Italy’s record champions Juventus Turin have allegedly made Serie A rivals AC Florence a new offer for striker Federico Chiesa. The Turin sports newspaper Tuttosport reports that Juve is offering Viola a fee of 50 million euros plus right-winger Riccardo Orsolini for Chiesa’s services.
The Bianconeri, according to the report, have chosen Chiesa as their number one transfer destination this summer and sports director Fabio Paratici is working flat out to bag the transfer of the 21-year-old. An offered annual salary of five million euros should also help.
However, Juve is not prepared to leaf through the 70 million euros in compensation called for by Fiorentina for the attacker. The inclusion of Orsolini in the deal is intended to depress the price.
He came to the Old Lady from Ascoli in 2017 for six million euros and is currently on loan to FC Bologna until June. There Orsolini is on a strong final spurt of the season, in the last nine games the winger has scored five goals and an assistant.
The fact that Juventus are now advancing in their bid for Federico Chiesa should also interest FC Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga league leader is also said to have shown great interest in the eleven-time national player and has already submitted an offer of 70 million euros. Inter Milan is also considered a potential new club.
Chiesa, who has collected 21 scorer points in 39 competitive games this season, is still under contract in Florence until 2022.
