Valencia signs up ManCity defender

FC Valencia are using the services of English champions Manchester City to secure the services of defender Eliaquim Mangala. This was officially announced by the LaLiga club via Twitter.

The Frenchman signs a contract with the bats until 2021. The French central defender had not played a role in the Skyblues for some time. The deal was already in the offing in the past few days. Nothing has been reported about the transfer fee yet.

Since his transfer from FC Porto in the summer of 2014 for around 44 million euros, Mangala has never really been a regular with the Citizens. In the 2016/17 season it had already been lent to Valencia once.

Mangala is number four in Marcelino’s squad after Ezequiel Garay, Gabriel Paulista and Mouctar Diakhaby.
