Primera Division: Real snatches Japanese talent away from Barca

Spain’s record champions Real Madrid are pushing ahead with the upheaval for the coming season. On Friday the royals announced the commitment of Japanese talent Takefusa Kubo.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who made his debut for the Japanese national team a week ago, comes from FC Tokyo and, according to Spanish media reports, will cost two million euros to replace.

Kubo is also said to have been on the sheet at rival FC Barcelona, where he had already played in his youth, and at several Bundesliga clubs. In Madrid, it will be used both in the first team and in the reserve team.

The Japanese is already the fourth newcomer within a few days. Previously, Real had signed Eden Hazard of Chelsea FC, Luka Jovic of Eintracht Frankfurt and Ferland Mendy of Olympique Lyon for the coming season.
