Primera Division: Real Madrid: Ramos future well settled

Sergio Ramos, after a conversation with Real President Florentino Perez, seems to have decided to play for Real Madrid beyond the summer. The Spanish sports daily As reports this with reference to sources from the television station La Sexta.

After Perez had recently confirmed that the Real captain had approached him with a lucrative offer from China, Ramos is now said to have changed his mind about a possible farewell after 14 years with the Royals.

According to La Sexta, Ramos is said to have clarified his whereabouts in a conversation with Perez: “I want to continue here, I will end my career in Madrid,” he is quoted by the television station.

For late Thursday afternoon, the royals announced a press conference with Ramos. As the As reports, Ramos is supposed to have offers from China and England. Cristiano Ronaldo is also said to have spoken out in favour of a transfer of his former captain to Juventus Turin.

The 33-year-old centre-back has played in 606 Real Madrid games to date, including four Champions League wins with the Royals. His contract in Madrid runs until 2021.
