Primera Division: Ramos could leave Real Madrid

Captain Sergio Ramos seems to be considering leaving Spanish record champions Real Madrid this summer. The Marca confirmed a report by El Chiringuito, who said the 33-year-old was weighing his future after a bad royal season.

The situation of Real’s defensive chief has changed since the Champions League outing against Ajax Amsterdam, writes the Spanish capital’s sports newspaper.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain had therefore already inquired about its availability. And in contrast to similar requests in the past, Ramos no longer rejected directly, but left his future open.

Reals have noticed that a new situation could arise around the centre-back, but so far neither the player nor his adviser have officially approached the officials.

Ramos, whose contract in Madrid runs until 2021, had missed the last seven championship games due to injury and will return to the pitch only for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers with the Spanish national team.

Last season, Ramos scored eleven goals in 42 cross-competition appearances for the reigning Champions League winner.
