Messi reveals: My son cheers Real goals

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has revealed that his son Mateo occasionally cheers at goals from arch-rival Real Madrid to annoy his brother Thiago.

“Sometimes, when it’s on TV, he cheers the goals of Real Madrid. Thiago always gets upset about that, so Mateo just keeps going,” revealed the five-time world footballer at TyC Sports.

But Thiago is not the only one who is annoyed by the three-year-old Filius, Papa Lionel is also taken for a ride.

“The last time we played in our garden was when Mateo said to me: ‘You are Barca and I am Liverpool because I will defeat you’, Messi said with a smile.

In the semi-final of the Champions League, Messi and Barca lost a 3-0 first leg win against the Reds and were eliminated. Liverpool finally secured the title.
