Primera Division: Media: Bale change to China nearing completion

Gareth Bale’s move from Real Madrid to China is said to be as good as safe. That’s what the Marca reports on Friday night.

According to the Spanish sports daily, the transfer of the recently controversial wing forward to the Chinese first division team Jiangsu Suning depends only on details. The club wants to commit the 30-year-old for three years and pay him an annual salary of 22 million euros.

Bale had moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Madrid in 2013 for what was then a world record sum of 101 million euros, but he was no longer a match for coach Zinedine Zidane’s system.

Jiangsu Suning is one of the economically strongest clubs in the Chinese Super League and belongs to the powerful Suning group of companies, which also controls 70 percent of the Italian renowned Inter Milan club.
