Primera Division: Hazard with emotional suicide note to Chelsea fans

Eden Hazard said goodbye to Chelsea fans with an emotional letter: “Leaving Chelsea is the biggest and most difficult decision of my career so far,” the Belgian wrote on his social media channels.

On Friday evening, Hazard’s move to Real Madrid for 100 million euros (plus bonuses of 40 million) was officially announced. “I loved every moment here and wouldn’t have gone to any other club,” wrote Hazard.

The fans of the blues would always remain in his special memory, Hazard continued: “Whether during the preparation, Tuesdays in Sunderland, Thursdays in Russia or of course at every match at Stamford Bridge: “You have always supported and motivated me to play football”.

Hazard joined Chelsea FC from Lille in 2012, scoring 110 goals in 352 games for the Blues and preparing 81 more.

With him, Chelsea twice became English champion, twice European League winner and once won the FA Cup.

“I was only 21 when I got here. Here I became a man and the player I am now,” Hazard continued. “You helped me become captain of the Belgian national team.”
