Barca: ter Stegen is out with knee injury

National goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Spanish champions FC Barcelona has injured his right knee in training on Thursday and is not available in the last La Liga game of the season at SD Eibar on Sunday.

The Spanish Cup final between the Catalans and FC Valencia on 25 May is not planned for ter Stegen anyway. There’s Dutchman Jasper Cillessen standing between the Barca posts.

National coach Joachim Löw will also hear the news of the ter-Stegen violation with mixed feelings. The number one Manuel Neuer from Bayern Munich is currently suffering from a fibre tear in his calf and will not be able to play in the last Bundesliga season match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

On 8 June, the European Championship qualifying match in Borissow against Belarus is on the programme, on 11 June Estonia will also be in Mainz in the EURO elimination of the opponents.
