Champions League: Chaos: Reds owner runs over motorway

In order to be in the stadium in time for the kick-off of the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur, John Henry took a special measure. The American owner of FC Liverpool just walked across the highway.

Henry got stuck in the traffic chaos of Madrid in his car together with Reds legends Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish, according to a Liverpool Echo report.

The trio then left the car and walked the last few yards.

The fact that the measure was exactly right became apparent shortly after the start of the game. Liverpool were awarded a penalty after 24 seconds, which Mohamed Salah turned into a 1-0 lead.
