Schalke and Gladbach in the transfer duel for Vanaken?

Hans Vanaken from FC Bruges is the shooting star of the Belgian league. No wonder the midfielder is on the roster of several Bundesliga clubs.

According to the newspaper “Het Laatste Nieuws” FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in the four-time national player.

Vanaken is bound to Bruges until 2024, so the Belgian footballer of the year 2018 and 2019 will not be a bargain.

The 27-year-old can imagine a move abroad but under certain conditions. “Of course I dream of having a top club, but everything has to be right when I leave Club Bruges,” he stressed.
