Bundesliga: S04 probably before commitment of Paris talent

According to French media reports FC Schalke 04 is facing the engagement of Silas Wamangituka from Paris FC. David Wagner is hot for the start of the season, on Sunday the Schalke day will start. Here you will find news and rumours about the royal blues.

For some time now, the Schalkern have been accused of showing great interest in Silas Wamangituka by the French second division team Paris FC. Now it looks as if the transfer of the 19-year-old striker from the Congo could soon take place.

As the newspaper Le Parisien reports, the royal blues are ahead in the campaign for Wamangituka. Accordingly, the Schalkers have to pay eight million euros for the youngster, who is still under contract in Paris until 2021.

Recently, Stade Rennen is said to have been interested in the 1.89-meter man, who scored eleven goals in 33 competitive games last season and prepared two more goals.

Today, Saturday, the new season begins for the Schalker with the first DFB Cup round at the fourth league team SV Drochtersen/Assel (15.30 in the LIVETICKER). The new coach David Wagner can hardly wait for it to finally start.

“The feeling is totally characterized by anticipation. We all have a lot of desire together to get things going,” Wagner said: “Not everything is working yet, but I believe that the boys are taking steps in the right direction.

The 47-year-old wants his troop to perform without fear: “I told them they could make mistakes. It’s no problem at all if we learn from them quickly and you can never blame us for not having the will to do things.”

Only one day after the start of the compulsory game, the so-called Schalke day takes place. On 11 August, the royal blue family and fan festival will take place around the VELTINS Arena.

There will be autograph sessions, free stadium tours and interviews with players and Schalker protagonists. Admission is free, as always.
