Report from Spain: Barca rejects first Bavarian offer for Dembele

FC Bayern are said to have rebuffed FC Barcelona with a first offer for Ousmane Dembele. According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, the Catalans are not satisfied with the 70 million euro redemption they seem to have been offered.

Barca wants at least 95 million euros for Dembele and would thus probably already accommodate the Bavarians. Previously, the kicker and the radio station Onda Cero had reported a pain threshold of 100 million euros for the Catalans.

According to France Football, a transfer of Dembele is now a priority for the FCB. The Munich team wants to direct the offensive player “by all means” to the Isar.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic is said to have been in contact with Dembeles’ advisors for some time now and to have also spoken to Barca’s managers.

Dembele, who moved from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona in 2017 and is still under contract there until 2022, played 42 games for the Spaniards in the past season. The 22-year-old scored 14 goals and prepared nine more.
