The RB Leipzig will face Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes in its third preparatory game today. Where to watch the game live on TV and livestream, you can find out here at SOCCERSCORE.
As part of their preparations for the season, the Red Bulls will meet Stade Rennes, based in the French Ligue 1, this Friday. After two games in preparation, one victory and one defeat each, the Leipzig team will be Back to the Roots.
The game will not be played in Leipzig, but in Markranstädt, 15 km away. The place where RB played its first game ten years ago.
The test match will be played in the stadium at the Bad in Markranstädt. The stadium has a capacity of 5,500 seats. The match will be kicked off at 6:00.
The German-French test duel will unfortunately not be broadcast on Free TV. Leipzig fans don’t have to be sad because there’s another way to watch the game live and for free.
The MDR got the rights to the game and shows it live in the online stream live and without hidden costs from 6 pm.
The Leipziger already had two tests in the preparation phase. On 12 July, the Red Bulls lost 4-1 against Zurich, a week later they won 3-2 against Galatasaray.
So in fact the Leipzigers can only really get in against Rennes with a win. RB has the compulsory start against VfL Osnabrück in the DFB cup on August 11th. Seven days later, Julian Nagelsmann’s team meets the Bundesliga newcomer Union Berlin.
Either way: RB Leipzig will want to use the test game against Stade Rennes to do some more experiments. The big goal is of course a successful Champions League season and who knows, maybe the Saxons will even keep an eye on the championship.
Before the DFB Cup really kicks off for RB Leipzig against VfL Osnabrück, two important tests are on the agenda: the match against Stade Rennes and another test against Aston Villa.
