Here you can find news and rumours about the BVB.

Ex-BVB player Christian Pulisic has praised his former teammate Jadon Sancho to the fullest. On the sidelines of his presentation at his new club FC Chelsea, Pulisic said in an interview with Sky Sport: “I am very happy that he is now playing such an outstanding season. He is a great player and everyone can see how much talent he has. The sky is the limit! As I said, everyone can see their talent, and if they continue to work hard, they can go a long way”.

US international Pulisic fought alongside the young Englishman for the championship with BVB until the last matchday of the season, but was defeated by FC Bayern in the end. “It was a brutal end to a good season,” Pulisic said. “But I don’t think we should be very disappointed. We played a great season and should be proud of it.”

The 20-year-old has a lot in mind with Chelsea: “I am self-confident. Sure, there are other top clubs in the Premier League, but we’ll do our best and there’s no reason why we can’t fight for titles.” Last season Chelsea were 26 points behind champions Manchester City:

Sports Director Michael Zorc has commented on BVB’s transfer offensive. “If we are convinced of a player, then we are also willing to pay the corresponding sums,” Zorc told SportBild. “We want to constantly improve ourselves. The past season has been a great motivation and obligation for us to continue to be successful in the future”.

Most recently, the BVB engaged Thorgan Hazard (from Borussia Mönchengladbach), Julian Brandt (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) and Nico Schulz (TSG Hoffenheim).

“We are only at the beginning of a development. We want to stay close to the Bavarians in the next few years. This is ambitious, but we will try,” said CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.
