Bundesliga: Official! Bayer grabs PSG jewel

As expected, Bayer Leverkusen has signed offensive player Moussa Diaby of France’s champion Paris St. Germain. The 19-year-old will receive a five-year contract in Leverkusen until June 30, 2024.

According to the Bild newspaper and the kicker, Bayer is to transfer 15 million euros to Paris, and PSG will participate in the transfer with 20 percent in the event of a resale.

“Diaby is an extremely fast, technically strong attacker whose qualities ideally match our game idea,” said sports director Simon Rolfes: “He is one of the great French talents.

Bayers Sports Managing Director Rudi Völler stressed that he was “certain that Diaby would give us a lot of pleasure with his enormous speed and technology”.

Previously, the works club had already engaged national player Kerem Demirbay of TSG Hoffenheim for 28 million euros.

Diaby can play on both the left and right outer lanes. The French U20 national player played for head coach Thomas Tuchel’s team in 25 Ligue 1 matches last season and scored two goals.
