Leverkusen with special jersey against Schalke

40 years after advancing to the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen will play Schalke 04 with a special jersey edition on the penultimate day of the season on 11 May. The Bayer cross with the “04 Leverkusen” lettering placed underneath in the chest area is exactly like the one from the ascent season.

The limited jersey was designed in cooperation with our partner Jako. The design is based on the dress from the 1978/79 season when Bayer was promoted to the Bundesliga.

With the cross on their chest, the factory club also celebrated their UEFA Cup triumph in 1988 under coach Erich Ribbeck. The last home game of the season against the royal blues has the motto: “40 years of the Bundesliga under the Bayer Cross”.

The special jersey was made possible by main sponsor Barmenia Versicherungen as well as sleeve partner Kieser Training and did without the respective branding. The red special jersey is limited to 4000 pieces, also numbered and available for the fans from now on.
