Bundesliga: Hoeneß confirms Bavarian interest in Sane

Uli Hoeneß has confirmed FC Bayern Munich’s interest in Leroy Sane. “The president of the German Champion is quoted by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as saying, “We deal with the personalities.

Previously, the kicker had reported that the FC Bayern leadership would consider a transfer from Sane. FC Bayern has apparently been in contact with the striker’s family for quite some time.

Sane still has a contract with Manchester City until 30 June 2021 and city coach Pep Guardiola would like to hold the German international. However, Sane is apparently up for sale due to the threat of sanctions for violations of the financial fair play regulations.

Robert Lewandowski would support a change from Sane to FC Bayern. “Sane is such a player with great quality. Such players can bring the team forward from day one,” said the top scorer of the Bundesliga on Wednesday as part of a media round. In addition, he added that the Bavarians had “not yet spoken the last word on transfers”: “I know something is going to happen”.

After Jann-Fiete Arp of Hamburger SV, Sane would be the second newcomer to the Bayern offensive next summer. Previously, the German record champion had already announced the transfers of Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard.
