Bundesliga: Gladbach's Drmic moves to the Premier League

Josip Drmic leaves Borussia Mönchengladbach and joins Norwich City for the upcoming Premier League season.

German team manager Daniel Farke’s club Daniel Farke announced on Monday that the Swiss will receive a three-year contract until June 2022. In Gladbach, the 26-year-old’s contract, which expires this summer, had not been extended, so the attacker will be switching to the Canaries without any replacement.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in the Premier League,” said Drmic. “I can’t wait, because I’ve heard a lot of things from my colleagues in the national team who have already played in the Premier League.”

With the exception of a six-month loan to Hamburger SV, Drmic has been under contract with Borussia for the past four years. Last season, however, he only made five appearances and was only in the starting eleven on the last two matchdays.
