Does Augsburg Gregoritsch refuse the transfer?

The transfer of Michael Gregoritsch from FC Augsburg to Werder Bremen seemed as good as clear. But now the FCA might still be lying crosswise.

The Weser Kurier, Mein Werder and the Portal Deichstube reported unanimously about the contact between Werder Bremen and the 25-year-old Filius of ÖFB-U21-Teamchef Werner Gregoritsch. An agreement between the two clubs was assumed, but now the transfer takes an unforeseen turn: as the Augsburger Allgemeine reports, the FCA should certainly plan with Gregoritsch and not want to go down from its demand of 15 million euros.

Werder Bremen, on the other hand, cannot pay so much: “For Bremen, transfers in the tens of millions are not possible,” said Werder Sports Director Frank Baumann. Gregoritsch is definitely not to be sold cheaper, after all, the Grazer’s contract runs until 2022. In the past season, Gregoritsch scored six goals in 32 Bundesliga games – he can look back on a total of 21 goals for the Augsburg team. The last word has certainly not yet been spoken on the subject of change.
