Christian Ilzer in contact with Hannover 96

Hannover 96 seems to have contacted WAC trainer Christian Ilzer. The 41-year-old was already contacted last winter by Darmstadt 98, but Ilzer is said to have cancelled the Traiditionsklub. This is what the Kleine Zeitung reports.

Ilzer led the WAC into the champions group, where the Carinthians finished third four laps before the end. If Ilzer’s team stay there, they could even enter the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Not least because of the good results, Ilzer is always regarded as a candidate for a trainer. Thus his name fell with the possible candidates on a follow-up of Oliver Glasner with the LASK.

The WAC tested against Hanover last August, when a game of 60 minutes was played twice. The Wolfsberger won 3:2.
