Change to FC Bayern: Nübel “the only sufferer

In winter FC Bayern Munich confirmed a transfer coup: Goalkeeping talent Alexander Nübel leaves FC Schalke 04 in summer without being replaced and joins the German record champions. For an ex-player of the Munich team this is a very explosive situation.

In an interview with Sky, Dietmar Hamann said that Bayern coach Hansi Flick could have no interest in “having a new player and Nübel in the squad”. The former midfield star therefore suspects that the Bayern Nübel will be lending out in the summer for the time being.

“Should Manuel Neuer – which I assume he will – extend his contract, I think it is almost impossible that Alexander Nübel will be a player for FC Bayern after the end of the transfer period in summer,” said Hamann.
