BVB striker Philipp highly popular with BL-Klub

VfL Wolfsburg is apparently interested in a commitment from Maximilian Philipp of Borussia Dortmund. That’s what the Sportbuzzer reports on Wednesday evening. Philipp had already “talked at length” with the new VfL trainer Oliver Glasner.

In 2017, Philipp came to BVB from Freiburg for 20 million euros. The people of Dortmund would like to see a similar amount of money put on Wolfsburg’s table for his services. VfL Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke and Sports Director Marcel Schäfer, however, this sum is obviously too high.

In order to be able to realize the transfer of Philipps, players should first be surrendered. Paul-Georges Ntep, Riechedly Bazoer and Jeffrey Bruma are among those on the Wolfsburg strike list. So far there are no offers for the trio.

In his two years with BVB, Philipp has scored eleven goals in 51 missions. He was plagued again and again by injuries. Recently, the black-yellows with Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt engaged further competition for the offensive. Despite a contract valid until 2022, the 25-year-old is therefore considered a sales candidate by the Borussians.
