Bundesliga: BVB: Signs of Mandzukic transfer on the increase

Borussia Dortmund is probably still interested in a transfer of Mario Mandzukic. Meanwhile, FC Bayern could become a competitor. Michael Zorc is satisfied for the time being, Lucien Favre has pronounced high fines. Here you can find all news and rumours about the BVB.

Mario Mandzukic from Juventus is now also associated with Borussia Dortmund by Gazzetta dello Sport. The Croatian striker has been traded repeatedly with BVB in recent weeks, but a real development did not seem to be taking place.

Now the Dortmunders are supposed to “push” for the Mandzukic transfer, as it is called from Italy. The 33-year-old, who lost a great advocate with the change of coach from Massimiliano Allegri to Maurizio Sarri, would probably have to pay around 15 million euros to replace him.

However, the transfer could be made more difficult by a similar interest on the part of FC Bayern Munich. This is what Sport Bild reports. The record champion is said to have discussed Mandzukic’s return internally. Mandzukic already played in Munich from 2012 to 2014, after which he moved to Atletico and later to Juventus.

Borussia Dortmund’s early transfer offensive has satisfied sports director Michael Zorc for now. “Our transfers have mainly improved our quality, but they also put us in a better position in terms of breadth. We have doubled each position and have adequate replacements when a player is out,” said Zorc to Sport Bild.

The commitments of Nico Schulz (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim), Mats Hummels (FC Bayern), Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Julian Brandt (Bayer Leverkusen) were important steps: “In the last second half of the season, the many players who had been out of their way have presented us with several problems.

According to Zorc, the fact that the BVB was able to plan early on with the proceeds from the sale of Christian Pulisic was an important factor in making an early effort to find the desired players. “We make sure that the balance between our expenses and revenues is right. Since we have regularly achieved transfer surpluses in recent years, we have decided this summer to invest more money in the team,” Zorc classified the expenses.

Borussia Dortmund’s professionals also had to keep fit during their holidays. Failure to comply with the abandoned exercises was likely to result in severe fines. This is what the Sport Bild reports. Each player was given seven pages of instructions on running, nutrition and activation.

The professionals should track their runs in particular and were supervised accordingly. According to the report, the first forgotten run cost 1,000 euros, the second already 3,000 euros. The BVB professionals probably paid 5,000 euros for every further run not carried out. Those who forgot the belt for heart rate measurement also had to pay 1,000 Euros.
