Bundesliga: Schalke fixes Kabak deal

Schalke 04 has signed the exceptional Turkish defender Ozan Kabak (19), who was last signed by VfB Stuttgart, the relegated team of the first division. This was announced by Jochen Schneider, head of sports, at the annual general meeting of the Königsblauen on Sunday.

The teenager allegedly costs 15 million Euros due to an exit clause and signed a contract until 2024. Kabak had bound himself to the Swabians until 2024, before he was under contract with Galatasaray. Master Bayern Munich is said to have been interested in the youngster.

Schalke also extended his contract with the US American Weston McKennie until 2024. The 20-year-old, who moved from Texas three years ago to the Gelsenkirchen youth team, has played 47 Bundesliga matches since 2017. Last season, the all-rounder was one of the few top performers of the royal blues.
